META STORE
Virtual reality in physical space.
The Meta Store (Previously Facebook and Oculus) is the company’s first foray into a physical retail space. The shop design is a conceptual and living environment for everything virtual and augmented reality. New hardware on display includes the Oculus Quest 2 headset, Portal smart video calling, and Ray-ban smart glasses.
One of the primary functions of the store is to allow curious or skeptical consumers a chance try the hardware in a safe space, which is monitored and guided by personal attendants.
We collaborated with Universal Design Studios to design the interior spaces, displays, and visualize what events would take place inside. This included demos for games and the hardware, whiched showed off the technical specs.
